MAPLE SHADE - The Hall of Fame Relays? For Burlington Township, this is the exhibition season. The championship season starts in 20 days. That's when the Falcons will line up in the South Jersey Small-School 4x400 at the Penn Relays. "We talk about Penn Relays all the time," said Eriq Morris, who anchored Township's winning sprint medley team at Saturday's 40th annual Hall of Fame Relays. "Meets like this are good for us to see where we're at, what we need to work on and what kind of shape we're in. Penn Relays is our first big meet, and we want to make sure we're ready for it. That's one of our big goals for the year." Township will be trying to reclaim its South Jersey relay title at Penn this year. The Falcons won the 2006 and '07 titles before placing second to Sterling last year. Morris is one of three Falcons back from that team, along with Alrick Price and Will Martin. "We can't wait (for Penn)," Martin said. "There's something about it. As soon as you step on that track, anything can happen."
